- Rough or grinding slide. This is the roller bearing scoring from sand and moisture that work past the seal. The wheels flat-spot, and the door starts to ride like a shopping cart with a bad wheel. Rollers are a wear item, not a door-killer, but a flat-spotted roller will chew the aluminum track if you keep dragging the door open for another six months.
